As I mentioned here, 2011 show designs have kept my plate pretty full the last few months. The new Southern Worthersee design debuted at the show last weekend. The guys down in GA like to keep the new design a secret until they reveal it at the event, which is pretty cool. It adds a little extra excitement and fun for me as a designer.
I also recently finished up the art for Eurothon 2011, which is a great laid-back event with a show-n-shine feel. It's being held at FDR Park in New York June 5th, a change from last year's September show at Yonkers Raceway. If you're in the Tri-State area it's definitely worth a look, the new venue should be a hit.
This year also marks the fifth year of VAG Fair in York, PA. I've had the fortune of doing the show art since the show's inception in 2007. The 2011 design honors a member of the VW community and good all-around dude Alexi deRochambeau, who passed away earlier in the year. In traditional VAG Fair form this year's show promises to be bigger and better than last year's, and will fill the York Fairgrounds with noteworthy VWs, Audis and BMWs from all over the Mid-Atlantic.
